Digital Signage Statistics India 2026: What 7,000+ Real Enquiries Reveal

Most "digital signage statistics" articles recycle global market-size forecasts. This page is different: it is first-party data from our own sales system — 12 months of real quotations and thousands of inbound enquiries handled by SOIL, an Indian digital signage manufacturer. Finding 1: 43 inches is India's signage size

Across all size-specified line items in 12 months of quotations (n=359), the split is decisive:

43 inch38%
32 inch21%
55 inch16%
50 inch4%
15 inch (tabletop)5%
65 inch and larger3%

Why 43? It is the smallest size that reads clearly across a shop floor or lobby, at a price (about ₹47,400 as a floor standee, about ₹24,800 as a wall mount, both incl. GST) that a single-location business signs off without a committee.

Finding 2: the demand is non-metro now

In our most recent clean enquiry window, 67% of located enquiries came from outside the major metros (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad). Lucknow and Surat individually out-enquire Mumbai in our data. Signage is no longer a metro luxury — it is a tier-2/tier-3 mainstream purchase, which is also why service coverage beyond metros matters more than most vendors admit (see our Lucknow and Surat pages).

Finding 3: floor standees are the first purchase

The single most-quoted product family in our system is the freestanding floor standee (the Unity Column line), ahead of wall mounts. First-time buyers overwhelmingly start with a movable screen they can position where the footfall is — then add wall and tabletop screens once ROI is proven.

Finding 4: what buyers pay

  • Commercial wall displays: ₹17,000–55,000 incl. GST (32–55")
  • Tabletop displays: ₹21,000–33,000 incl. GST (10–22")
  • Floor standees: ₹32,000–1,00,000+ incl. GST (32–75")
  • Custom LED walls: per sq. ft, project-priced

Methodology

Source: SOIL Digital Signage internal CRM and quotation system. Size shares: all size-specified quotation line items, 12 months to July 2026 (n=359). Geographic split: enquiries with a stated city over the most recent 60-day window (n=744); a bulk data import in April 2026 was excluded to avoid inflating counts. Enquiry run-rate: monthly organic inbound across channels, excluding the same anomaly. Figures are rounded; percentages may not sum to 100. This data reflects one manufacturer's pipeline and skews toward made-in-India commercial hardware buyers. Cite as: "SOIL Digital Signage internal sales data, 2026" with a link to this page.

Entry commercial displays run ₹17,000–38,000 incl. GST per screen (wall mounts and tabletops), floor standees ₹32,000–1,00,000+ by size, and typical first orders are 1–5 screens with expansion after.
